Tom is a Partner and Sr. Associate in Associates For Professional Development, a coaching and organizational development practice in Winston-Salem, NC. He has conducted hundreds of leadership programs for industry and government and has coached more than 100 business leaders over the past 15 years. His coaching participants have included professionals from the staff level through regional and international corporate executives with a focus on healthcare administrators and clinicians. Certified in the MBTI, Denison Organizational Culture Survey, Denison Leadership Survey, FiroB, and PaperPlanes, Inc., Tom has been instrumental in leading a wide variety of corporate clients through high levels of change. He has designed and facilitated simulations for leadership development, stress management, team-building and effective communication and uses these simulations to magnify the learning process. Tom has been a senior partner of New Ideas in Training & Development for the past ten years. He has a BA from the University of Notre Dame and a MS in Counseling from the University of Dayton. In addition to his corporate work, Tom has maintained a family therapy practice in Winston-Salem for over 20 years.
Bruce is a member of the Board of Directors of Professionals In Transition and serves a a PIT meeting facilitator. He is considered the leading PIT expert on networking and has taught and coached hundreds of PIT members over the past eight years. His unique methods of networking eliminate the stress of making contacts and shorten the transition to re-employment.
Bruce is President of Fortune Advisors, Inc., an independent Financial Planning firm that publishes an annual Year-End Tax and Financial Planning Guide used nationally by accounting firms, banks, estate lawyers, and investment advisory firms. He is a Certified Senior Advisor and a Registered Principal with Raymond James Financial Services. His clients consist of current and former employees from major corporations such as R.J. Reynolds, Wachovia Bank, Sara Lee, and US Airways.He has an MBA from The Johns Hopkins University and has held senior executive positions at Bank of America and Wachovia, and he has taught Business and Marketing at the college level as an Adjunct Professor. With over 25 years experience in the financial services industry, Bruce is currently in private practice assisting clients in establishing financial plans to meet their tax, investment, asset protection, and income needs.
Don is currently Chairman of the Professionals In Transition Board and specializes in personal marketing and career development. He retired from a long career in relationship/loyalty marketing, planning and advertising in the transportation industry with United Airlines, Piedmont Airlines and US Airways, the non-profit arena with Old Salem Inc. and management consulting providing executive coaching and training. Don now works with individuals who are unemployed or underemployed providing personal coaching and marketing direction and techniques including resume development, the networking process, and interviewing and presentation skills. He firmly believes that you must effectively market yourself in order to secure the job you really desire, and that you must plan extensively to do it.
He is on numerous local non-profit boards including facilitating with the Triad Job Search Network and has a B.S. in Business & Mathematics and an MBA in Marketing and Finance.
